As Sickle Cell Awareness month approaches, we would like to energize and pump you up with exciting events. Go dust off your tennis shoes and get ready for fun times because our 2nd Annual Iron Up 5K and 1-mile walk on September 21, 2019, is on the way. It will be held at Albany State University West Campus (formerly known as Darton College) starting at 7:30 A.M. We will be gathering near the tennis court. Before we come together and celebrate our true warriors, please remember to register for the event. You will find the registration tab when you click on the event tab. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please contact us.
To add on to this wonderful celebration is our 1st annual Iron Up Dinner. The dinner will be held on September 20, 2019, at The Grille House in Albany, Georgia. The time will be announced. This event is dedicated to each Sickle Cell warrior. We see the struggles that the blood disorder places on your body. We see your inner strength and fight. We know each day is a battle for you, but your intuition tells you to keep going. We understand that there is not enough recognition and we would like to honor you like royalty. So, come dressed up and enjoy the night because that day is considered your day! Tickets for the event will be available soon.
